Education is the process of facilitating learning, or the acquisition of knowledge, skills, values, beliefs, and habits (Wikipedia : 24/04/15 ). Education is a basic process that every human being should get it in any places, from any sources, and with any people. Without education, life means nothing. What is life? Life is a characteristic distinguishing physical entities having biological processes, such as signaling and self-sustaining processes, from those that do not, either because such functions have ceased, or because they never had such functions and are classified as inanimate. (Wikipedia : 24/04/15). For me, life is something that we should be thankful for as a gift from holy God. And so, we have to live with the best.

And the problem is "How can education be a very necessary thing for a better life?"

Like what we lived in today, this era is the modern era with all its technological sophistication. Indirect, natural selection applies to human survival. Those which can survive well are educated people. And I can say that they were the intelligent one. Competition to get a job is getting tougher. Life cost is getting higher. Lifestyle influenced by technology developments. And that is why education is very important.

In this case, we will discuss about education in the school. Every parents have same thought that to educate their children in the best school. But, have you ever thought about what is the point of study or what is our purpose to being educated? And I think you will say yes if I say that we are study for our better life. We are study to become what we want. We are study to catch  our dream and let it come true.

Generally, the seriousness in education become a brenchmark of someone's success later. Most of people thought that boys/girls who worked hard at school and always get the best value, their future is guaranteed success. Otherwise, those who were lazy, their future will not success. Do you agree with that argument?

School is the place where student can get any education. And then, why must every children form every family must get education at school? Like 9 years compulsory education - an education program from Indonesian's government. It is true that knowlodge not only gained from school, it could be get form anywhere such as books or internet facilities. But, I say it again that being educated at school is the most important.

Here I will explained to you the reason:

1.  The learning activites more focused and organized

The different between study at school and study by yourself is activities at school is more organized. You can easily get many knowledge. You have a teacher that will guide you and teach you many lesson. Program that implemented in schools is more focused. For example, at senior high school, you can get into the department where you are more enjoy and interested at. Science or social? This is a process to what you want to be later. If you want to be a doctor so you join science lesson. But if you want to be a lawyer, you must join social lesson. Certificate that given by school after had some test can give easiness to get a job. And so the better value you get, the easier you get a job.

2. Character building we

And here! This point is actually the main reason why school is very important. This world is not poor of smart people. I think, there is so many smart people in every country. But, this world is experiencing a crisis of good people. Not every smart people is the good guy. For example, ministers in Indonesia are the smart guy, the one who highly educated but not a little various cases like corruption happened because of their bad attitude. And so, I say it again that character is more important that knowledge even though it is also the necessary one.

School is not only a place where student can get many knowledge and get study. But school is also a place where student can get a study of character building. There is no special lesson about character builing maybe, but every rules that formed at school indirect make student to be a better one. Like rules of wearing uniform and come to school before the bell rings teach student to be discipline. Behavior like greet the teacher is shaping students to be a humble guy. There is also the advantage of test and homework that students understand about the importance of time management. Students also can get many values in dealing with problems that they have with their friend or other. That are just a little of example about the character building that maybe we just can get it from school.

3. Education for a better life

For what we are live smart if we can't give kindness to other. The most important thing that we must understand about this life is about attitude. It is about heart. It is about how do we become a good leader for ourself or even for this world. Education for a better life. Education not only related to knowledge. But this case, education for a better life is a learning to be a smart-kind guy to live in a better life.

This world is need a better life. This world is more in need of smart people. But the most needed is a leader that educated and has great character. And I bet it is you.
